When Will We Get Super Intelligence?

The reason we haven't figured out how to build self-replicating nano probes or neural machine interfaces and so on is because we're not in, our own intelligence has been stumped by this. We've finally developed technology to the point that we can either use it to self-destruct or to help life flourish throughout the cosmos for billions of years. There's never been a time when we should feel more motivated to pay attention to this and make sure we make the right choice at this fork on the road.
