Marielle's day begins with a cup of coffee. She says caffeine is her go signal, the shot in the air and the runners run. Caffeine doesn't do anything quickly; it takes a long time to kick in or leave your system. If you have caffeine and sugar, your goal will backfire if there is sugar involved because the sugar will create a blood sugar spike and a blood sugar fall.
