Introduction

What cognitive science has forgotten about computation. What does it mean for a physical system to compute? A claim made by many contemporary nervo scientists. Answers are almost exclusively informed by our knowledge of digital computation. There is an alternative, the analogue paradime of computation. It seems likely that neural computation just is analogue computation.
