Joseph Smith's Greatest Symbols

Much of Joseph Smith's genius was his ability to create symbols that gave followers access to what he had experienced. That those symbols were imperfect then, or that they no longer carry the impact that they did nearly two centuries ago, does not diminish their value. Although it does speak to the heavy responsibility that current church leaders have to update or replace tired symbols.
