The Earth's Core Is Hot, Right?

The core of the earth is hot, right? It's hot enough to melt rock and metal. The sun is also very hot. Assuming we could manage to go that far and not melt, would the centre of the earth produce any visible light like the really hot sun does? I cannot rest until i know answer. Ah, in a lot of physical ways it would. But mechanisms by which the photons are created are very, very different.
