Is the Immutable God Inextricably or Extrinsically?
New classical theists and internet tomes often say that the immutable God can change extrinsically, or undergo what are sometimes called mere Cambridge changes. This is not remotely accurate to what the classical tradition says; it's just conceptually confused. Peter Lombard: Extrinsic changes are inconsistent with divine timelessness. Paul Helm: An individual is immutable in the required sense if no temporal or spatial changes apply to that thing.
