The Importance of Randomness in Graph Theory

In a story with many different branches, you can think of all of those paths being linked together. And one of the things that mathematics can do for us is to help us understand networks and how to find our way through them. But also the gigantic number of paths through and potential outcomes would really make books like that or any other kinds of structures just impossibly big unless we're super careful not to get out of control.
