The New York Knicks - A History of New York
In his lifetime Irving wrote lots of history books and biographies including a five volume biography of George Washington published just eight months before Irving died at the age of 76. Early on in his career he created a character called Deedrick Nicobocker. That's what became the you know the New York Knicks and everything came from that.
