Serena Williams - She's Never Been a Jim Bunny, Has She?
I think the game style was awkward for serena. It was something that she wouldn't have been able to prepare for at all. She can't just rock up and even be competitive at grand slams any more. I don't think she has the will to get back out on tour and do that. And yes, she's already always played less than a lot of other top players. But certainly latterly in her career, she's needed matches to play herself into form. it's been a long time since she's been able to just rock up.
