The Pre-Handing of Warnock
Semen taken from the bedspread at the scene of Lucy's murder nearly 34 years ago. The chances of it belonging to someone other than Warnock was estimated at one in a billion. A few days later, his car was picked up in nearby Finchley by an automatic number plates recognition camera. This sent an immediate alert to DI Willits and her team. They raced to the area, but were again unable to track down Warnock. Just before they did, DI Willits recalls how she saw Warnock's car parked down side street. He had been arrested on that evening, the 12th of January.
