New York City Department of Corrections - The Pros and Cons of Federal Receivership

I want to talk a little bit about sort of the two big policy changes that are on the table. One being the still slated to occur closure of the direct facility that moved the Burbas jail. The other one, the live debate about federal receivership. We'll start with the latter. I think first for the public, you know, the monitor's job is not to fix the New York City Department of Corrections. That is my job to do. But the monitor has been a great partner with us.
