The Wunderlich Thermometer

Wunderlich thermometer registered almost two degrees centigrade higher than current thermometers or thermometers of that era. Macoviak noticed something else about the original Wunderlich research. He recruited healthy volunteers, male and female, and took their temperature one to four times a day around the clock for about two days using a well-calibrated digital thermometer in the patient's mouths.
