The Challenges of Being a Father to an Autistic Child

In a society where neurotypicals are normal, enableism is accepted on a conscious and subconscious level. When he was growing up, what informed his picture of manhood and masculinity included things that I think we can all agree are pretty toxic now. It's also it informed my own gender expression and how honest I was with myself. The autistic community as many folks will know, overlaps a lot with with a lot of other communities including the LGBTQ community.
