Children learn about social differences from a very early age. They notice that some people are being spoken to differently than other people or treated differently. Even pre-schoolers get the concept of fair and unfair is not fair, she says. And if you can talk about what's fair and how we do things when they're wrong, it will help children understand their world more easily.
