The Importance of the Language of Faith

In Islam, to my understanding, the Quran, like the Torah is more holy in the original. In Judaism, we have people who lay in and do a cantillation but if they make a mistake, it's not the biggest deal in the world, just redo it. Whereas I think when you're reciting the Quran, you're trying to speak the Quran as if channeling God's voice - so the stakes are much higher. So it's the language of faith that matters rather than the language of scripture.
