Opportunity Costs in Relationships

Loss aversion is more something cost actually. So it's a sign of cost. When you already invested a lot of your emotions into a relationship, you don't want to lose those emotions. And so the opportunity costs build up over time. You know, it's kind of like compounding interest. They compound. We could have found something good and we could have been investing resources into a much better relationship or much better investment or much better friendship. All of these sorts of things are investments that we're not thinking about because we're missing out on them.
