The GMC Accepts 23 Recommendations to Reduce Bias in the GMC
This week the GMC accepted 23 recommendations about reforms that are necessary to help reduce the risk of bias in its regulatory work. The changes have been broadly welcomed though by doctors haven't they? It's a really significant issue because less than two years ago an employment tribunal found that the GMC had racially discriminated against a doctor and only a few months ago another review found that the regulator missed multiple opportunities to prevent the needless suspension of Manchester GP Dr. Manjula Aurora.
