The Importance of Horses in Colonial America
Spanish settlers likely brought horses to the Americas in 1519. Horses were a really important tool to these colonizers and enslaved natives. Having a horse was a very powerful thing to have, like you can command from it. But although horses helped these colonizers take over the Americas, horses became incredibly important to indigenous Americans.
