The Struggles of Agatha
When Agatha is 11, her father dies leaving the family with not much money. She describes herself as being a natural mathematician and would have liked to do that as a job if she'd had a better education. We will discover that counting and money will be her Achilles heel as we go on. Her favourite drink has always been neat cream - just out of the fridge. If she wanted to celebrate her success, she had a glass of neat cream. It's sort of, this is something that sticks with her through life. So I get the idea here of a little girl who never really grows up. Maybe that's not fair.
