The Evolution of Ideas

I accept the idea that there are some bad forms of information that spread for bad reasons and that's unfortunate, but I don't think that's a law of nature. The fact that it exists means that better and better stuff can start to be created. Free speech in a free press is hard to wrap your head around in the moment because to the extent that it exists, it exists for the worst things. Even if we're going to have a central council that says, "We're just going to only let people say true things," that doesn't exist. You can't pick out one and not the other.
