The Importance of Standardization in the Construction of High-Speed Rail in China
The construction cost of the Chinese high-speed rail network at an average of $17 to $21 million per average is about two thirds of the cost in other countries. Taogong Ming, meanwhile, has remained at the front line of the manufacturing team, continuing to inspire himself and his colleagues with innovative ideas. In 2015, he was given the honorary title of National Model Worker along with 2063 other candidates. The title is given by the Chinese government and candidates are elected once every five years.
