The Bird by Alfred Hitchcock
Hitchcock uses humor to sell what is essentially a horror film brought abou then he sits at a dining table to eat some roasted chicken. The great awk, the passenger pigeon and the famous dodo bird have all disappeared. But of course, this is nature's way. Man merely hurries he process along whenever he can be of help. It is classic hitchcock, tongue and cheek. Listen to the music. He's giving us a lecture on birds. And remarkably, he's using humor to sell it.
