Songwriting

When you were younger and performing all those old deds did that help inform your own song writing at all? Would you say, i'm sure everything i've ever heard or played in my life has. You know, i think the other thing that informed my song writing was not having a piano in my apartment. I mean, all those songs were written on guitar. And the chords are very simple for that reason. So i think there's something about coming away from your main instrument. There's something special that can happen.
