How Can You Measure the Scope of the Flooding by Satellite?
People have been trying to understand the sheer scope of the catastrophe in pacistan by looking at satellite images. I called up doctor simon cook, a senior lecturer in environmental science at the university of dundee in the u k. He says different satellites do different things and with different levels of complexity. And it's almost through asort of a triangulation from different independent groups using different types of data that you can kind of converge on an answer - how much of parkestan has been affected by flooding?
