The Impact of Private Investment on the Energy Transition
Fusion was declassified in the 1960s. Since then, it's been a very collaborative science. There is a lot of collaboration but private companies are protecting their intellectual property. The National Ignition Facility got passed a key milestone last year. And that's a really important milestone because it basically proves out the science. It's that fusion on Earth is possible - now we need to move on from that and do engineering work together.
