The Implications of Centralization of the Army
Trying to centralize the army, however, just was not a nonstarter. All these, the most powerful armies were all loyal to their local commanders. They're not having it in terms of centralizing the army. So it remains in this provincial structure, which is going to have some pretty serious implications fairly soon.
