There's so much mythology about the enormous amount of suicide among trans and non-binary kids, which I think is total disinformation. The idea of watchful waiting now is practically considered to be malpractice by some people. And before we go around tinkering around with the lives of 14-year-olds, I think a certain amount of watchful Waiting is really, really important.
