Are You a Structuralist?

The way I like to think of it is there's two things that we're talking about and usually they get blurred together in this literature. There's the fact of responsibility, which is like the weather question, whether someone's responsible or not. And then there's the degree question, how responsible they are. And so I'm a structuralist about the weather question,. That's just a matter of the structure or the time. But then when it comes to the degree of responsibility, you have to take into account historical stuff. The focus on constitutive luck can be very helpful.
