The Dilemma of Darwin and Mendelian Genetics
Biometricians are the people who combine a certain understanding sort of statistical understanding of evolution with Mendelian genetics. Darwin is represented as being more population oriented than he actually was interesting so you can kind of see reconciling or working with those tensions rather than trying to choose one or the other. Bergson is pushing against this vise men view that there was in the so barrier right that there was a clear line between what's inherited and what isn't inherited. The timing of the text of creative evolution is interesting because he's going after the neo-Darwinians but he's mostly going after vise men.
