The Role of Genetic Testing in Systemic JIA

Many patients with SJIA may have some genetic predisposition. You mentioned steroids and then cytokine inhibitors like anakinra. Do you use usually both of those at the same time, or do you sort of do one first and then build on the other? I think most of the time if you're in kind of a full-blown HLA-Chymase cytokine storm, you're probably going to need steroids. They're usually your friend. And there's some really new interesting medications out there.
