Is It Conceivable That a Machine Could Be Conscious?
I don't have a fixed, firm theory of consciousness, as you can probably gather. A system which has any kind of representation of itself as separate from the world will be as deluded as we are into thinking there is this mysterious thing called consciousness and a mysterios thing sorled of self. So that ai will be conscious when it is capable of representing itself as separatefrom the world. And it will be conscious in the sense that we are. I think private consciousness is an inherent feature of biological life. It is what biological life is. Thank you.
