The Decision Theory of Frank Ramsey
Frank ramsey was the great cambridge philosopher, a mathematician who died tragically young. He worked out how belief could be extracted out of what we observe people to do. His fundamental insight was that behaviour essentially has two causal factors. One is the desires, or the goals, of the agent and the strength of the pool towards those goals. And on the other hand, the belief factor, what these assessments of the features of the world that make the action successful are playing.
