Deliz identifies in Plato there's a distinction to be made between the copy and the simulacrum. In Bodeard's work the idea of the sacrificum is a copy of a copy. But for Deliz it's not just a copy ofa copy but it is a copy that has lost resemblance to what might be the original thing which is an interesting point of distinction. When they sin and they then move away from God in their likeness. So it becomes not about what the image stood for but it becomes copying the image itself.
