There is a real concern in the greeks m as to, you know, if you're only involved in solitude, is that even possible for human beings? And i think plato didn't think it was so. So socrates might be alone for several hours but ultimately come back into conversation with others. Simon blackburn, his pupil, aristotle, seems to have had a different and perhaps more complex view of this. Aristotle, of course, is very keen that we are political animals,. at least animals that live in a policea human beings are social.
