The Long Dark Night of the Soul

The plot is more in interior terms than in exterior terms. It's a kind of cognitive hacking, like different tricks that can make a narrative stick. And i think the screen writers have put a huge amount of formal thought into this. I could see a novel in which 19 96 itself wasn't as such a present thing in the novel. But i felt so aware that it was happening in the nineties,. and that you and the book really wanted to be accurate and true to what was actually happening in the Nineties.
