Is There a Difference Between English and French?

Most French students are pretty familiar with the written words. They're quite comfortable with writing and reading because it seems at school they did a lot of reading and writing work. And also I think that many of them were brought up in schools and taught by French teachers, who were teaching English. It's just a question of breaking through the kind of awkwardness and embarrassment that you get from speaking a foreign language.
