Armord Levs - Isn't It a Big Innovation?

i've always been fascinated with the fact that, you know, if you tried to fight a modern army against an army from 30 years ago, it's ridiculous. But for most of human history, with technology moving either as slowly as it did or with these sort of, let's call it, ebbs and flows of capabilities, right? So some one from an earlier era could have a military that was more capable from someone, perhaps in a later era, which is anathema.
