The Worst Case Scenario: Sweden's Infection Rate Is Not Worse Than That of the US
What I read from this data is worst case scenario. Sweden's infection rate is not worse than that of the US. And yet their economy is still running, whereas the US economy has been largely shut down. The Swedes took the, I think, unremarkable approach that people in general know best what to do in their own lives. It will be very interesting to see on the back end. But as of now, it looks a lot like we're designing our policy around the preconception that people don't know enough or aren't interested enough to avoid infection on their own.
