The Importance of Reverence

In the Old Testament, he was commanded to build this temple and Solomon built that temple. David started to do it and God says, no, it's not you. You've shed too much blood. It's going to be your son. And so Solomon builds this temple. It's like a resting place for God right there in Jerusalem. But part of our conviction as elders in understanding the New Testament is he hasn't called us to build another brick and mortar or gold or whatever or stone iron temple. He says in the New Testament, you now are that temple. So amazing, amazing thought.
