The land was originally owned by the pocasset wampanoag tribe. Fall river commandeered a hundred acres of this land through eminent domain in order to secure the city's drinking water supply. The forest sits comfortably within the infamous bridge water triangle donoon, which we will do an entire episode about because there is just too much yesys.
