The paradox of tolerance is that if am, you tolerate the intolerant, m, you will be in danger of having tolerance abolished. The open society and its enemies would see how antithetical these phenomena are anything we might value in a tolerant, open society. And some people might say, well, i don't think much of tolerance and openness, to which my reply will be, will you go somewhere where there isn't tolerance and openness and see how you get on?
