Climate Change - The Original Sin of Industrialization
We need to make our environment, the climate environment, a stakeholder in our social contract. The original sin of industrialization was was environmental destruction. And i do think it's a shortcoming of these very formal, multilateral gatherings of governments to not recognize companies as protagonists. I am also of the view that we are not going to do enough to mitigate the effects of climate change purely through behavior change. To dile things back, we actually have to innovate. But unlike the manhattan project and other, unlike other sort of break through advances in science, i think it's much more likely that the private sector will play a dominant role in this.
