How to Help Someone Who Doesn't Want to Be Helped
There's a fallacy that adult protective services workers can magically go in and have the power of making things all better. In our country, people are autonomous and they have rights and you just can't go in. Therapists typically also do not come into the home. Treating hoarding disorder from an office base perspective is also challenging because you're not there to help coordinate it with them.
