What's Going to Happen in Mark 16, Eight?
The book of Jonah ends like that with a question and the readers has a bomb thrown in their lap to kind of wrestle with. There are even lamentations ends on a sour note, you know, and so that's not uncommon to do that. So the abrupt ending would be more intentional, which would hit,. doesn't Mark have a theme of fear and power and like that's not that wouldn't be unlike something that he would wanna do.
