In the photos ap on iu s and apera 15, there's a new info panel. All you need to do is go to the search afield, typing the name of the ap you're looking for,. That means photos is looking for images that it knows we're saved by another application on your device. This also works for historical images. So like in my case, i have an image that photos tells me, this was saved from whats hap, and i can tell you when last year.
