The Most Basic Way to Photograph Your Art
50 is a good way to start and then if there are reflections and you've got say something that's behind glass again you want to put that black up behind you to avoid that getting any of those reflections. The problem with this type of lighting is it's never going to be consistent so yeah you might have got like one day where you shot and it was midday and it was bright blue skies and beautiful sunlight but the colors don't glow as they do when they've got beautiful directional light on them. So correct it's not consistent and that's why this sort of technique is okay if you want a reference or you just want to share a quick image of the painting but it's not ideal
