The Utility of Sleep

Sleep is important in at least three different aspects of learning and memory. If you take sleep away just for one night, the ability of your brain to learn basic facts,. text book like facts, is decreased by 40%. It would simply be the difference between acing an exam and failing it miserably. Sleep has a very strong thematic thread to psychiatric disorders and sleep disruption. Both every tissue in the body and every process within the brainw have been focused on as the benefit of sleep for brain function.
