Artificial Intelligence Is an Analogue Scale
i think that intelligence is an analogue concept. In the same way that some humans can be more intelligent than others and so too will be the case with artificial intelligence. And what is the upper limit? We don't know. So on the left of the scale we have hand written scripts that can be considered a i by the objective definition. On the far right we have the pianisky concept of a g i, which i'll discuss in a bit. The lay s by which the soft ware becomes removed from the programmer adds elements of magic to the concept of ai. But anywhere in the middle is sort of what we're dealing with in trying to define a i subjectively.
