The Uptick in Interest in Freud and Psychoanalysis

The New York Times and the Wall Street Journal both recently noted an uptick in people's interests in Freudian theory and psychoanalysis. The uptake is not in Omaha, Nebraska or McAllister, Oklahoma. So, what's going on with the uptick in New York and San Francisco? Well, I think the answer is it's money. Many people want more out of life than just financial rewards. They want to know what it's all about, what it means. And they want it ultimately happiness - how best to attain self-understanding wisdom.
