Among libertarians, there's a sizable contingent that are fairly anti-cont. Rand was in her metaphysics, an objective realist. But she claimed to be a virtue ethicist. Kant is quite clear himself about rejecting pure altruism. You should have benevolence toward other people and practice being kind to them.
